Junior Buyer (Shoes)- Hybrid Work Setup
The Junior Buyer (Shoes) supports the buying and trading of the Shoes category to deliver strong commercial results across sales, margin, stock health, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with the Buyer/Category Manager and cross-functional teams to execute seasonal buys, manage replenishment, support brand/vendor relationships, and ensure the right product is available at the right time and price.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Range Build, Buying & Replenishment
Lead the range build and buying process: SKU selection, order quantities, delivery phasing, and product set-up accuracy.
Define and execute replenishment strategy for core styles and best sellers, ensuring strong availability by size.
Collaborate with Supply Chain/Operations to manage delivery timelines and resolve supply issues.
2) Trading & Category Performance
Support weekly trading routines: track performance by brand, franchise, price point, and key styles.
Identify risks and opportunities (e.g., fast sellers, slow movers, size gaps, pricing gaps) and propose actions.
Assist with campaign readiness: ensure hero SKUs, stock availability, and promotional set-up are aligned.
3) Vendor / Brand Coordination
Support day-to-day communication with brands/vendors: PO follow-ups, delivery confirmations, product information collection.
Assist in preparing business reviews and meeting materials (sell-through, best sellers, markdown performance, availability).
4) Catalogue & Onsite Readiness
Work with content and onsite teams to ensure product pages are trade-ready:
Images, attributes, size/fit information, color mapping, correct categorization
Support accurate system set-up (e.g., costs, RRPs, size runs, barcodes, product hierarchy).
5) Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Marketing, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Operations, and Content to ensure smooth execution from buy to launch and trading.
REQUIREMENTS:
1–3 years experience in buying, merchandising, planning, or commercial support (fashion/e-commerce/retail preferred).
Strong analytical and organizational skills; comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups).
Interest and understanding of footwear: key brands, seasonality, sizing, trend vs core basics.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines (launches, deliveries, campaign prep).
Good communication skills to work with internal teams and external vendor
